Samuel Willett (1865-1960) and Clara Virgin Willett (1865-1931) were the first residents of 1505 Holmes. He was a merchant tailor.
Patrick Healy’s parents came from Ireland. He was born in Michigan in 1873. He married Ida Bradley (1876-1974) in 1896. In Springfield, he operated a saloon, a restaurant and eventually worked for the Secretary of State. The daughter Margaret (1908-1988) continued to live at 1505 after the parents died. 1505 Holmes was owned by the Healy family for over 65 years.
