The first family in 1605 was of Hon. Charles Briggle, Sr. (1883-1972).
Charles Briggle, Jr. (1911-2001 ) grew up in 1605 Lowell.

Charles Guy Briggle Sr. was Judge of the U. S. District Court in Springfield from 1932- until his retirement in 1958. He was appointed to the federal bench by President Herbert Hoover. Briggle had also served as chairman of the Sangamon county Republican central committee for ten years. His son, Charles Briggle, Jr., seen above, would also reside at 1400 Whittier for over 20 years.
