Morgan P. O’Brien Jr. (1914-1965) of 1625 Holmes graduated from the Lincoln School of Law. This photo is from SJR June 16, 1938.
Thomas O’Brien (1917-1985) August 16, 1944 State Journal Register

Morgan Patrick O’Brien (1881-1958) was a city engineer for Decatur form 1924-1941. He had 26 years of practical engineering experience, including his work at Lake Decatur, when he was hired as city engineer for Springfield. He was Springfield’s engineer from 1931-1939 when he began private practice as a surveyor and civil engineer. Morgan O’Brien wrote an article for the March 1933 issue for American City titled “Resurfacing Brick with Brick – an Economical Practice.”
