Dr. John Prince lived at 1500 Whittier before his early death in 1911. Both John and his brother Arthur had been doctors in Jacksonville, IL. In 1890, after their father’s death, the brothers moved the practice to Springfield and opened Prince Sanitarium in memory of their father, David Prince.
